Host A Donation Drive

Cultivate an even larger impact by organizing a donation drive through your church, school, neighborhood, etc.

We are collecting many items to gift to the homeless individuals who attend the event (i.e. toiletry kits, winter jackets/gloves/hats).

Volunteer

This event is only possible with the help of our amazing volunteers!
We need hundreds of volunteers to prep for and provide the day of hope and dignity to the Twin Cities unhoused community.
We appreciate your commitment to partnering with us. Please sign up for one or more of the following volunteer opportunities.

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”

December 2024 Opportunities

  • Lead person for each station at the event - This person would be “in charge” of one of the stations (i.e. volunteer station, welcome desk, food station, coat station, etc) ensuring that the station and it’s volunteers are ready to provide an excellent experience for our guests. This would require some training time before the event and working at the station both days (December 11th & 12th).

  • Lead/Supervisor for packing/sorting – This person would be in charge of the packing/sorting events providing directions to volunteers, maintaining a safe environment, tracking final inventory of what was packed. Training will be provided.

  • Lead Person for Event Clean Up – Execute the plan to tear down, pack up and ship out remaining product and supplies. Provide instructions to volunteers to ensure everything is cleaned up.

  • Event Decorator – This person would create and execute a plan to decorate the event space making it feel warm and inviting for our guests. Looking for creativity and resourcefulness to be able to work with a limited budget.

  • Movers/drivers/trucks – individuals/companies that would be willing to move the product and supplies to and from the Convention Center. Looking for donation of time (drivers and people willing to load/unload the trucks) and resources (Large capacity trucks).

  • Spanish Interpreters - Looking for 10-15 individuals that would be willing to be at stations or guest services to help our Spanish speaking guests.

If you would be willing to help in this capacity, please send an email to candis.johnson@coatedinlove.org
