Compassion Coffee partners with Coated in Love for Give to the Max day

In preparation for its fifth annual 3000 Acts of Kindness event, the Plymouth-based nonprofit Coated in Love collected donations for people without housing all day Nov. 20 at Anoka’s downtown cafe Compassion Coffee for Give to the Max Day.

“Last year, we served more than 3,200 homeless people at our annual 3000 Acts of Kindness event at the Minneapolis Convention Center. We are expecting more than 4,000 people to show up at this year’s event,” said Danielle Igbanugo, Executive Director of Coated in Love.

The 3000 Acts of Kindness event will take place on Dec. 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is intended to provide winter coats, hats, mittens, boots, socks, backpacks and other necessities for people experiencing homelessness. Coated in Love collects donations year-round, and this is their first year driving donations on Give to the Max day due to a need for more winter coats.
